A New Zealand–owned operator with a vertically integrated vision
From an operating rest home with proven audit performance to a five-pillar platform spanning care, education, medical services, and retirement living.
Proven operating credibility
Kauri Care Ltd is a New Zealand–owned aged-care provider delivering affordable, high-quality, and culturally inclusive care for older people.
The group currently operates Christina's Rest Home in Māngere East, Auckland, which achieved full attainment in its February 2025 Ministry of Health certification audit — a result reflecting strong governance, clinical excellence, and a demonstrated commitment to resident wellbeing.
Our philosophy centres on homely environments that promote dignity, comfort, and connection — ensuring every resident feels cared for as part of a community rather than an institution.
Full attainment — February 2025 Ministry of Health certification audit, Christina's Rest Home. Audit performance is the sector's clearest external validation of governance and clinical capability.
A continuum of care across Auckland and beyond
Kauri's broader vision is to establish a continuum of care model across Auckland and beyond — supporting people through every stage of ageing, from home care and rest home living to hospital-level and specialist care.
Through staged development across five Auckland locations — Henderson, Ōtāhuhu, Remuera, Māngere, and Panmure — the group will deliver close to 1,000 care beds over the next five years, encompassing rest home, hospital, and dementia-level services.
A new medical centre will provide GP, nursing, and allied health services for residents and the surrounding community, and a planned home care service will offer in-home nursing and support for older people who wish to remain independent for longer.

To ensure a sustainable and skilled workforce, Kauri Care established the Hermitage Career Institute — an NZQA-registered private training establishment in Auckland. The Institute provides Level 4 Health Care Assistant (HCA) qualifications and English-language pathway programmes, supporting both domestic and international students.
By directly linking education with employment within Kauri facilities, the group secures a pipeline of qualified, compassionate support workers while contributing to New Zealand's wider healthcare workforce development.
